5 Stars (5 / 5)
I didn’t notice her before but now I do.
The shiny strands of gold in her silky brown hair.
Tiny crinkles between her eyebrows when she frowns.
Her passion for neatness.Once I focus on her, I can’t take my eyes from my newest obsession. Ever.
I need to know everything about her.
Her past. Her present.
The way she takes her coffee.
Exactly how she smells after a spritz of perfume in the mornings.

She’s perfect in every way and I was blind.
But, God, now do I see.

I notice the organized way she arranges her clothes in her closet.
How she visits the same market each Saturday.
The sounds of her breathing as I lie beneath her bed in silence.

Violet is mine.
She just doesn’t know it yet.

Grab yourself an extra pair of panties and settle in with this dark romance. It was fast paced and easy to get into, so I was able to finish it in just one day. I only bought this one because we were going to try it out in a new book club that I am in, but it was worth the $3, as I read it twice in two days!

If we talk about just the plot of the story then it is your typical boss/secretary romance. Except Grayson Maxwell is a complete psycho and once he takes NOTICE of her (see what I did there) he becomes a stalker and does some downright dirty deeds, right from the start. Violet has worked for him for six years and he doesn’t even know who she is until she slaps down her two week notice on his desk. When he looks at her, and really SEEs her, he can’t unsee her. He wants to do everything he can to keep her not only working for him, but completely his, in every way.

The boss/secretary plot was just the backstory to the book. I could take it or leave it, but we aren’t here for that part of the story anyways! I sincerely enjoyed picturing a tattooed John Hamm since they insisted on calling him Mad Max. But John Hamm is a sissy la la compared to this guy, like Hamm would hook up this guys cable TV.

But for a psycho, he made me laugh: “Now that she’s practically mine, I want to shower her with everything. Love. Attention. Gifts. Cum.”

The sex is white-hot, and you don’t have to wait till the end with this one she gets you sweaty right from the beginning. Seriously by the end I was fanning myself. When you buy a porno you want to get your moneys worth and you get it with this one!!

The author says it in the beginning, and I will say it again right here….if you don’t like stalker/obsessive behavior, extremely explicit sex or rape scenes than this book is definitely not for you. This is intended to be a fantasy with some real life mixed in and for entertainment purposes only, so if you don’t like that stuff than look for another smooth and creamy romance novel somewhere else.

That being said, I thought it was pretty hot. If you like a ride the crazy train, getting stalked and then possessed by a horny sex-addicted psychopath, then you will enjoy this immensely. While these aren’t my all the time read, I enjoy them every now and then, because sex and fantasies are fun!

PS The very last chapter was totally weird. So weird. I loved this book but that Was. Weird. 5/5 stars with a promise to revisit this author again soon.
